Learning Disability Matters
FREE E-LEARNING to inform and inspire.
Launched in February 2015, Disability Matters is an innovative programme providing free online resources for all education staff either working, or engaging with disabled children and young people (from 0-25 years) and their families.
It is suitable for everyone who works within education; there are a range of sessions, including those aimed at administrative teams and receptionists, teachers, head teachers and governors.
Co-developed with disabled young people and parent carers, the 58 e-learning topics offer practical advice about supporting disabled people achieve the outcomes that matter to them.
The programme addresses the challenges and barriers facing disabled young people by encouraging individuals to reflect on and positively change their attitudes and beliefs about disability.
It is a fantastic FREE tool to support education training, as well promote a welcoming and inclusive culture across the education sector.
