We often have pupils who have emotional needs, and typically have anxiety problems. Often they cannot cope with a full week in school, and we offer the opportunity to be in school for at least three days; with the other two days being optional. Flexi-schooling is not the same as part-time schooling. The timetable and curriculum has been developed to ensure broad and balance within the three core days.
There seems to us to be a gap in provision for these children. They are not typically SEN, or do they have specific behaviour issues. If anything they are over-sensitive.
Some of our parents were considering home-schooling, or had tried home schooling as a last resort before coming to us.
