Information, Advice, and Support Services (IASS) provide information, advice & support to parents/carers, and children & young people with special educational needs. There is one based in every local authority area.
The Information, Advice, and Support Services Network (IASSN) is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) to:
- Promote the work of information, advice, and support services;
- Provide a national network for IASS to learn from each other, to share information and to promote best practice;
- Provide training for IASS;
- Work with IASS, Local Authorities and others to ensure parents have access to high quality IASS.
Our vision is that children and young people with SEND, and their parents/carers, have access to high quality information, advice, and support services, which are widely respected as an impartial source of information, advice and support.
IASSN provides support and information to information, advice, and support services. It does not provide support and advice to parents and carers.
