Young Epilepsy is only charity in the UK that focuses on children and young people with epilepsy. We provide specialist services and support both for children and young people with epilepsy and their families and aim to improve the lives of these individuals, to enable them to fulfil their potential and ensure they have the best quality of life.
Young Epilepsy aims to:
• Campaign for better health and education services, to raise awareness of epilepsy and increase understanding of the condition
• Provide advice and support via our helpline service, our free resources and handbooks.
• Offer epilepsy training services for people working in the health, medical, education and social care sectors.
At Young Epilepsy, we also have a world class health and research facility which provides diagnostic, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation services to children and young people. These vital services, along with our varied research programme, aim to achieve valuable insights into childhood epilepsy
In addition, St Piers School and College, our specialist education school and college offer a range of day and residential services for children and young people (5-25 yrs old) with complex epilepsy, autism and other neurological conditions.
