The SEND Gateway - Opening up the world of SEND
Welcome to the SEND Gateway, an online portal offering education professionals free, easy access to high quality information, resources and training for meeting the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Developed by nasen, the UK’s leading professional association for SEND, the Gateway provides an opportunity for the education workforce to develop new skills and understanding, navigate recent and upcoming reforms to SEN and access resources and training materials from the UK’s leading voluntary community sector (VCS) organisations supporting children and young people with SEN in the age range 0 - 25.
The SEND Gateway was launched by Edward Timpson, Children and Families Minister on May 21st 2014 at nasen Live 2014 at Bolton’s Reebok Stadium.
The launch marked the beginning of work to compile a comprehensive and valuable bank of resources for education professionals that has continued to grow over time. Each time you visit the SEND Gateway look out for what’s new as well as searching for information, guidance, news and training resources.
We are always interested to hear about latest information and resources so if would like to share a resource or if you are searching for something that isn’t currently available on the SEND Gateway email us.
Nasen would like to thank the Department for Education for funding the development of the SEND Gateway through its National Prospectus Grant.
